Rights Management Services And Sharepoint 2010

Good Day!

I sincerely hope that I have posted this in the correct blog, so excuse me if I have posted incorrectly.

I have the below question about what we are trying to achieve and I was just wondering if anyone has experience with this.

The business requirement is to supply users with an excel file containing a pivot table built using data embedded in the excel, users should be able to interact with the pivot table, i.e. drill down change measures filter etc. but should not be able to save their changes or copy content out of the workbook.

Using SharePoint configured with rights management if I grant a user contributor rights they can interact with the pivot table but can also copy, paste and save changes.

If I grant a user read rights in SharePoint they can only view the workbook but the pivot table is disabled so they can not interact with the pivot table.

Question 1:

Is it possible to change the permissions on the workbook so that they are granular enough to meet the requirements?

Question 2:

Assuming I can change the permissions on the workbook and I upload the workbook to SharePoint to a RMS enabled document library will the more granular permissions still apply or will the permission revert back to the sharePoint permissions?

Any help would be appreciated!

thanks
